a good nights rest for littles

Sweet, sweet sleep. This is a necessity for being healthy and for thriving in the school year. Sleep gives your body a chance to rest, a chance to heal itself, a chance to renew your mind. A good night’s sleep makes a world of a difference for both kids and adults. As parents, we tend to be lacking in the sleep department but there are absolutely some things we can do to promote restful sleep for our whole family!

DIY Pillow Spray:

Pinch of Epsom Salt (salt helps to disperse the oil) 2-4 oz water 4-8 drops Lavender Mix together in a glass spray bottle. Spray on your pillow/linens before bed.

Sleepy Oil Blend:

Glass Mason jar 1 cup carrier oil (coconut oil, V6 from YL, grapeseed, etc) or Organic Unscented Lotion 5-10 drops Lavender 5-10 drop Cedarwood OR 10-20 drops of KidScent blend DreamEase You can mix this together and keep it in a glass jar to use at bedtime. Massage over body. To mix as needed, just add 1 drop of each essential oil into the palm of your hand to apply during your bedtime routine. You can even fill up a roller bottle for easy application! For a rollerbottle fill half way up with Lavender or Cedarwood and the remaining 10 ml rollerbottle with carrier oil of choice.

Sleepy Time Bath:

Epsom salts are an old-fashioned remedy for soothing tired, aching muscles. That’s because magnesium is a natural muscle relaxant. Baking soda added to an epsom salt bath is another powerful sleep aid. That’s because it supplements the body with extra CO2 to be absorbed. Did you know that C02 is one of the most important chemicals in your body? It supports healthy cellular energy production—which in turn promotes healthy sleep and keeps stress hormones at bay. 1 cup of Epsom Salts 1 cup of Baking Soda 5 drops of Lavender Combine Lavender with salts + soda and disperse in the bath. Soak for 20 + minutes.

Diffuser Ideas:

5-10 drops Dream Ease Peace & Calming Lavender + Cedarwood (3 drops each) Stress Away Valor White Angelica + Orange What's your favourite routine and oils at bedtime for your littles?
